It was an afternoon at the beach.

Lyla and Will did exactly what they wanted to do.
Lyla indulged in her inner Stevie Nicks.

Baby, you’ll come knocking on my front door
Same old line you used to use before

I said ya, well
What am I supposed to do
I didn’t know what I was getting into

So you’ve had a little trouble in town
Now you’re keeping some demons down

Stop draggin’ my
Stop draggin’ my
Stop draggin’ my heart around
And Will ate.

And ate.

And ate.

Here’s the sign at the Monkey Forest in Ubud, where we all went this morning. It lets you know who the bosses are around here:

We bought some bananas at the entrance. But Mummy gave the whole bunch to the first monkey that jumped at her! A monkey also jumped on Daddy — and crawled up his leg like it was a tree! We all thought he was going to freak out, given his fear of the great simian, but he was very cool and just shook it off. Not so cool as to take a photo of it perching on his knee, however.

We did a spot of monkey spotting when the bananas were done with.

And here’s my favourite monkey of all (baby -lyam, monkey boy) (he was happier than he looked):

Here, I am: Lyla, on Layla the pony.
First up a few tips on deportment.

And then a wave to Mummy, Daddy and baby -Lyam. I think I’m having fun?

So today I turn two-and-a-half. Instead of a half cake, Mum made me some cheesecake brownies. Mmmm. And I got three candles, because with candles, it’s always best to round up, don’t you think? Until you hit say 30, then rounding down is ideal.

And because I was the birthday girl I got the best bit of the brownies — the whisk!

Which was fun!

Here, by the way, is a picture I took. I take a lot of pictures, and I’m getting quite good.

And here’s baby -Lyam, with a celebratory flower in his, er well, behind his ear.
