Boy, girl or kitty litter?

It seems we’ve reached a new point in pregnancy — S has decided that now she Really Is Pregnant.

Going by the grunting and groaning, the slow, inhale sharply then slowly roll over and get off the lounge technique, and the situation where absolutely anything that requires her going upstairs is simply not worth doing, it seems that the baby has become a heavier load than it was before.

A load that she has come to describe as “her kitty litter”, suggesting that if I want to know what being pregnant is like I should strap a bag of kitty litter to my belly for a day — what a shame we’re all out!

The belly is huge — there’s no denying that, and it seems now that it isn’t just full of burping fiel, but also a lot of baby as well.
