Labour cram

Accompanying the belly explosion has been the realisation that this has to get OUT.

So I was up until well after midnight last night (maybe that had something to do with the half-block of Cadbury’s Black Forest after dinner, mmmmmmm) reading up on just what this is going to entail. You might think that it would have been useful to have done this a bit earlier. Had it been seriously earlier, however, perhaps there would have been no baby blog…

Bloody hell. Just like seemingly everything else to do with babies, if you hit on one comforting piece of advice (“if you think you need drugs, ask immediately”) it’s soon followed by another that totally contradicts it (“if you think you need drugs, wait for 15 minutes — you might be over the worst of it”). (Um, think I’ll err on the side of caution on that particular one.) I felt better before trying to read anything at all. And I know, as soon as you see the baby it’s all worthwhile. That’s been drilled into me already, Mum!
