So today we picked up S’s friend J who has come out to Samui from the US of A. A 24-hour epic journey (from LA to Tapei, then to Bangkok then to Samui) J looked a little dazed as confused as we sat squelching out feet in the sand eating a Thai seafood dinner.
Aside from bringing herself out, J also brought out a selection of pregnant fashion from the US for S and let me tell you, these clothes are big. The idea of S actually managing to expand enough to fill out some of these clothes is a bit jaw-dropping and S’s eyes were rolling around in her head a little at the thought of getting THAT big.
Up till now she’s been wearing Thai fisherman’s pants which are ideal as they’re designed to accommodate anything including a fisherman’s beer-gut and so can deal with pregnancy easily.
S’s posture has also changed slightly – it must be a subconscious change as S wasn’t aware of it, but she sits and walks differently — I think the changes will become more prominent as she becomes more pregnant.
Note I didn’t use the word waddle…
That is right, just wait until she starts waddling. I have been waddling for quite a while now, with my back arched trying to counterbalance my ever expanding belly.
And you can also look forward to the grunts and groans as she tries to sit down/stand up/roll over/move in any direction really…
Oh it is so very graceful being pregnant…
Where are the photos you promised?
